Understanding the COST System

Unlike other games, Wuthering Waves uses a COST-based Echo system:

• Total COST limit: 12
• Each Resonator equips 5 Echoes with different COST values
• COST distribution: 4+3+3+1+1 = 12

Echo Rarity & Farming

Rarity Tiers

Rarity	Max Level	Substats
5★ Gold	25	5 substats
4★ Purple	20	4 substats
3★ Blue	15	3 substats

Where to Farm

1. Overworld Enemies - Free but limited respawns
2. Tacet Fields - Waveplate cost, guaranteed drops
3. Weekly Bosses - 4-COST Echoes with unique skills
4. Friends' Worlds - Join to farm their spawns

Substat Priority (Most Characters)

1. CRIT Rate (aim for 40-50%)
2. CRIT DMG (aim for 150%+)
3. ATK%
4. Energy Regen (character dependent)
5. Elemental DMG Bonus

When to Keep an Echo

Gold Standard

• Correct main stat
• 2+ CRIT substats
• No triple roll into flat DEF/HP

Acceptable

• Correct main stat
• 1 CRIT substat + ATK%
• Will be replaced later

DPS Sets

• Molten Rift - Fusion DPS
• Freezing Frost - Glacio DPS
• Void Thunder - Electro DPS
• Sierra Gale - Aero DPS
• Celestial Light - Spectro DPS
• Havoc Eclipse - Havoc DPS

Support Sets

• Rejuvenating Glow - Healers (Healing Bonus)
• Moonlit Clouds - Support (ATK buff to next)
• Lingering Tunes - ATK% set for sub-DPS

Efficient Farming Route

1. Daily: Clear all overworld Elite enemies
2. Waveplate: Focus on one set at a time
3. Weekly: Don't miss weekly boss for 4-COST Echoes
4. Co-op: Farm friends' worlds when yours depletes

Echo Tuning System

What is Tuning?

• Unlock substats at levels 5/10/15/20/25
• Each unlock requires Tuners (color-matched)
• Gold Tuners from weekly content

Tuning Tips

• Don't waste Gold Tuners on bad Echoes
• Unlock only to level 10 to evaluate
• Max only CRIT-stacked Echoes

The 80/20 Rule

Farming Echoes has massive diminishing returns:

• 80% performance from decent Echoes
• Last 20% requires exponentially more farming
• Build more characters instead of perfecting one!
